WHY DO WE EXIST?
Sixth Avenue exists to provide a place for everyone to find hope, help, and healing through a relationship with Jesus. There is but ONE hope, ONE name, ONE God that can offer transcendent hope and that is Jesus Christ. Regardless of your past or current situation, we know that Jesus cares and so do we. So, if you are searching for peace, joy, and a place to give that to others, then you have found the right place.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to be a church of grace-filled people, empowered for community transformation and new church formation, so that the Gospel is faithfully transferred from person to person and generation to generation. As Jesus Christ works in and through us to fulfill our mission and pursue our vision, we expect to see results in three areas: Community Transformation, New Church Formation, Next Generation Empowerment.
OUR COMMUNITY
Community (or "Missional") Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings - in the synagogues - as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another. God has reconciled us not only to Himself but also to each other. This "each other" is called His Church.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked. If God’s mission is to be glorified through the redemption and reconciliation of a people, the Church’s mission is to present Hope, Help and Healing through Jesus' redemption and reconciliation.

Current missions
International, Regional, local
Sixth Avenue has a very special relationship with the country of Brazil. There have been more than 50 churches built with our efforts, among others.
We also support Dr.'s Randall and Rhonda Parris, who do extensive International work on several continents.
We also support regional missions, such as Men & Women of Action (Church of God, USA), and Smoky Mountain Children's Home, Sevierville, TN, (Church of God, USA)
giving
Giving is a part of our worship to God. It has been said that you can tell nearly everything about a person by the way they spend their money. Whether you are tithing in obedience to Malachi 3:10 or contributing over and above your tithe as an act of generosity, your money will help us minister God’s hope and healing to our community and beyond.
